From private motor boats to scenic ferry cruises, we offer a wide range of boating experiences. Based in Tuckton on the River Stour, flowing through Christchurch Harbour and out to the sea.
Our ferries run from April to October between Tuckton Tea Gardens, the Wick Ferry, Christchurch Quay, and Mudeford Sandbank.
It is the perfect traffic-free alternative to reach the beach, parks, and the beautiful harbour. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you cruise along the river.
One of our most cherished services, the Wick Ferry has a history stretching back nearly 1,000 years — possibly even pre-dating Christchurch Priory itself. Today, it continues to carry passengers across this historic crossing, connecting communities as it has done for centuries.
Fancy being your own captain? Our self-drive motor boats are available from April to October, carrying up to 6 passengers per boat.
No advance booking is needed — simply turn up on the day on a first-come, first-served basis. It is a wonderful way to explore the river at your own pace.
